Privacy policy
In short: we keep what we need to run your account, we read only public ads, our AI never sees your clients or notes, there are no tracking or advertising cookies, and we never sell anything about you.
01Who we are
Outtel is a competitor ad-intelligence service. The company responsible for your data is To decide: the legal entity (UK and Egypt companies), its address and a privacy contact email.
02What we collect
- Your account: your name, your username and, once sign-up opens, your email. Your password is stored only as a scrypt hash: nobody at Outtel can read it.
- Signing in: when your sessions start and end, the IP address and browser they came from. We use them to keep your account safe, for example to slow down repeated wrong passwords.
- What you set up: the competitors you follow, your clients, markets, notes, report language and team assignments.
- Alerts: if you link Telegram, your Telegram chat ID, so we can send you the alerts you chose.
- Payments: handled by our payment provider, To decide: provider. We never see or store your card number.
03What we don't collect
- No advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics tools. The only cookie keeps you signed in.
- Nothing from your own ad accounts, your website or your customers.
04Public ad data
The ads you see in Outtel come from public ad libraries, mainly Meta's Ad Library, which anyone can open. They include the advertiser's page name and the ad's text, pictures and videos, which can show people. We keep copies of ad pictures for up to 12 months after the ad last ran, then delete them. In Europe, Meta's official data also tells us how many people saw an ad, by age group and gender: these are totals, never individuals.
05How we use your data
- To run your account and show you your competitors.
- To send the alerts and reports you ask for.
- To keep the service secure and working.
- To bill you, through our payment provider.
We don't sell your data, rent it, or use it for advertising.
06The AI
Some features are written or tagged by AI, and always labelled AI. The AI only ever reads competitors' public ads. Your name, your clients, your notes and your team are never sent to it.
07Where it's kept
| What | Where |
|---|---|
| Your account and everything you set up | Our server at Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, Germany |
| Nightly backups | Backblaze B2, in its EU Central region |
| AI processing (public ad data only) | Amazon Bedrock, in Ireland and in the United States |
| Alerts you link | Sent through Telegram |
To decide: what Egypt's PDPL requires for these transfers (licensing), before the grace period ends around 1 November 2026.
08Who else handles it
- Amazon Web Services: hosting and AI.
- Backblaze: backups.
- Telegram: alerts, if you link them.
- Google Fonts: our typefaces load from Google, which sees your IP address.
- Payment provider: To decide.
09How long we keep it
- A sign-in lasts up to 14 days, then you sign in again.
- Your account data stays while your account is open. To decide: how long we keep it after you close your account, and how long backups are kept.
- Ad pictures: up to 12 months after the ad last ran.
10Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to how we use it. Depending on where you live, laws such as the UK GDPR, Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law 151 of 2020), and the Saudi and UAE data protection laws give you these rights. Write to To decide: privacy contact.
11Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we tell you in the dashboard before it applies.
